Hsuan Wu was born in Taiwan and is currently study Advance Postgraduate Diploma at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. She has studied music continuously since the age of four and for her, music is an indispensable piece of the puzzle of life. She is establishing what she has learned to explore the possibility of combining more disciplines to create uniqueness.
Hsuan obtained a Master's degree at the Graduate Institute of Orchestral Instruments at Taipei National University of the Arts. She performed in percussion concerts every year, often collaborating with dance and drama students and she is really interested in working with different aspects.
She has joined the Ju Percussion Group in Taiwan, where she was a member and general manager and was involved in a variety of performances, both large and small. A musical theatre presentation ‘Mulan’, combined percussion and Beijing Opera through spoken word vocals and marimba performance. They performed in Russia and received thunderous applause and were covered by the media.
In addition to performing on stage, she also teaches percussion. Hsuan went to Weinan Normal University as an Associate Professor of Percussion in 2017 and was touched by the purity of their enthusiasm for music and proud when she saw their growth.
Hsuan is a very creative percussionist both as a soloist and chamber music performer. She also has different hobbies, such as sports, fashion, and travel, and enjoys being an adventurer.
